There’s been articles lately about Red state dairy workers being mostly undocumented, but they haven’t seen the harrassment like in Blue states yet. Out of over 7k job openings, 4 citizens applied. And it’s also a decent paying job.

Not to mention tracking down birth certificates, proof of self for anyone who’s unhoused. They are still eligible to vote, by having their address at a shelter, but not having permanent housing probably means they wouldn’t be able to track paperwork down. Of course that’s who the admin doesn’t want.

Yup, all the small restaurants around here now have the same boring ads, either black background, wooden board with possibly real “enhanced” photos of the food or sepia-toned old poster look. It’s gotten to the point where I thought the same restaurant was advertising over and over, but they weren’t

That sucks. I went to an in-person conference last year that was in-person for the first time in 5 years because the group skews older. Got Covid for the first time there too. Sucks even more now that we’re not tracking the variants closely.

Damn, the bare minimum for most artists is that the work be reposted and not just taken, even if you’re adding credit later. Reposting allows the art thread to be traced back to the artist. It’s just common curtesy to artists to repost.

Back in July, I attended a #GNSI conference in Boston and fell in love with Toronto, the black drum at the New England Aquarium. He looks like such an old man, especially with the whiskers. Colors are off since I was doing the sketch by the exhibit light. #Pogoniascromis #fish #watercolor #sketch

I don’t find them scary, they just have a very normal salamander face. But depending on the angle you look at them, they look either look like the cute version or the more normal salamander version.
