I had a colleague that was feeling anxious about something today. So I taught her the 5 finger breathing technique. A couple of minutes later I realised I had another 3 or 4 colleagues all following along. They all said they felt much better after it ❤️

We are close to our 1 year anniversary of moving into our house. And I still absolutely adore watching the sunsets ❤️
Looking over houses and towards hills with the sun just disappearing them. It’s causing orange tones across the sky and along the edges of some white fluffy clouds

It’s quite nice when I can honestly tell a charity doorknocker that I already regularly donate to that charity ☺️

Given I got about 3 hours sleep overnight I’m surprised I’m not crashing yet But the staying in bed until 7:45am and the 2 strong coffees so far today has helped Let’s see what I’m like at 6pm when I finish work though 🫠😂

I really do feel like Woodridge and the half of Newlands that is in Hutt South will get forgotten about… Because of course Newlands is a well known Lower Hutt suburb 🙄 Oh sorry, Bishop won’t forget us… he plans to tear up huge chunks of our reserves for a road 🫠
A screenshot showing the description of the Hutt South electorate. The description reads: Hutt South covers much of the Lower Hutt region of Wellington, including the suburbs of Gracefield, Waterloo, Eastbourne, and Newlands. It is currently held by National's Chris Bishop, who won election in 2023 with a margin of 14,772 votes, and who was also the electorate MP from 2017-2020, and being a list MP from 2014. In 2023, the party vote was close, with National winning 34% followed by Labour with 32%. Bishop is only the third-ever MP for Hutt South; his 2017 predecessor Trevor Mallard held it for 21 years before him.

Needed to head out for a bit… 8yo: Mum, can I wear one of your jackets* so I keep more of my clothes dry? *he’s wearing the XL men’s size I got when I was pregnant with him 😂
A boy is wearing a black puffer jacket that covers his body and legs. Worth noting he is crouching slightly so that it covers his legs.

The 8yo insisted we get bananas in our shop last weekend… Of course he didn’t eat most of them… But now I can turn them into Banana Berry muffins 😁
A large mixing bowl with raw muffin mixture. Beside it is an empty plate with a fork and little bits of smooshed banana, empty measuring cup, a container of Olivani, and a baking book. In the background is the empty muffin trays

8yo wasn’t falling asleep, said he wasn’t feeling too good. So I made him a hot water bottle, which sits in a bunny cover. Told him it would help. Within 5 minutes he is fast asleep ❤️

Dogman and his drawing pad come to the rescue when we go out for dinner ❤️ We never go out to dinner without his activity bag!

We finally headed along Te Ara Tapua today. Ngauranga to Pito-one. Then bussed back. The 8yo did really well roller skating about half the way and walking the other half. The northerly wind was a bit of a bitch for me though

Just watched a car drive along the Thorndon Quay bike lane to then pull into the VTNZ carpark. I suspect they may be sitting their next driver’s license test. I seriously hope they fail

One of my high school friends was discouraged by a university to do his Degree in Early Childhood Education because of these exact views. It’s so frustrating… The male teachers my son has had have been amazing support for him. But so far, he’s had 2 of them (in 3 yrs of ECE and 3 yrs of primary)

My first job in a deli at a supermarket I was paid $6 something an hour. I remember one of the full time adult staff members being useless… constantly was slacking off out back. Us “youth” were doing all the work. Definitely don’t vote for people who want to bring these back!

I remember working in small town AoNZ in the 90s, for a nat. dept. store on the weekends when I was 16/17 and because I was a youth, on youth wages they were allowed to pay me $5 an hour. Tots legal, yet morally reprehensible. Don't vote for peeps who think worker exploitation is just fine. #nzpol

It really angers me when I hear the “good news” at the beginning of the ad that is running now for the under 5’s free vaccines… It would’ve been “good news” if you just kept it in place since the beginning of the season…

“Internal Affairs Minister Brooke van Velden said consultation was continuing, and that it was ultimately up to the employers to decide on final staffing levels.” And they are only making these cuts because you, as their minister, won’t fund them properly?! 🤬
