77 million Americans voted for national suicide in 2024. We're seeing it unfold right now: The economy vandalized, the military weakened, politicians bribed, tech run wild, immigrants terrorized, and government goon squads committing murder. Vote against all Republicans. It could be our last chance.

I'd argue that this isn't really cognitive offloading, this is more like hiring a lawyer if you get arrested because the legal system is complicated. I've been struggling with insurance issues to the point that I just lie and say I don't have insurance and pay out of pocket, bc it is just easier

remember: it saved no net money, social services US citizens are getting cut, and left the US in a weaker place geopolitically. none of the debates about fiscal responsibility, obligation to US citizens first, or 'hard choices' actually apply. they're all bullshit. killed people for nothing at all.

Absolutely, but it also helps that Democrats have a super-supermajority in the NY City Council, a Democratic Governor, Democratic supermajorities in the NY House and Senate, and nearly every NY Court of Appeals Justice is a Democratic appointee. At the Federal Level, it took 57+ Dem Senators & 1/2

I've spent a lot of time inside classrooms of very poor schools, including working with well-resourced parents like @nhannahjones.bsky.social who opted for those schools out of social obligation. Her experience - and agony - is common and wrenching. She's just one of (very few) willing to be honest.

Crush the arts (Kennedy Center), destroy the civil service (DOGE), control elections (gestures broadly), dismantle the press (gestures more broadly), decimate science (NIH), and demolish education (DeptEd). The authoritarian playbook.

This is something people must remember, it's not capitalism that's problematic. It's American Capitalism specifically that's the problem, there's many other forms of capitalism that are supremely better than American Capitalism

This follows directly from White Supremacy, because it's not race conscious to call for more white students, because white students are the default, the standard, any deviation from this is problematic in they're thinking

Yes, because any Democrat is better than a GOPer, and the higher number of Dems in office, the less power each individual Dem has to mess things up. You have fewer Sinemas, Manchins, and Fettermans when you have 60 Senators. Also, Dems have not had real power since 1968, and just look at how 1/2

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

Democrats are uniting around primary winners. That's the reality. Don't let the oligarch-owned corporate media tell you there's some kind of "war" between the left and the center. They are dividing their opposition. The reality is unity. Ignore the rich people trying to convince you otherwise.

A better argument for those that hate "handouts" is that right now we spend Z dollars providing M meals, while letting lunch be free would cost 1.5×Z dollars and would provide 2.5×M meals, and ask which is the better deal. If they deny that's true, there's real world data to back up both statements

Flock, like ShotSpotter, argue that more data leads to more safety. However, when a most of the new data is benign, you're just increasing processing time for all data, so you decrease response time, increase false deployments, while decreasing case quality, invading privacy, & increasing abuse risk

Agree, except we need to fundamentally change how the Court functions, and one of these easiest ways is to pack the SCOTUS with an additional 30 Justices (and could even easily do it in a non-partisan way to get even better buy in)
