Later another traffic jam to navigate. I expect more or less the same every morning this summer.

340

Chris Geroux @cgeroux.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

To summer camp, traffic is a bit worse than last year. Last year it often didn't pass the cross walk, this year it is backed up beyond for the second day in a row.

Chris Geroux @cgeroux.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

Here is an example. I shout a bit cause I am freaked out by two dangerous drivers in a row one right after the other. Before I can recover from being freaked out by one, another one scares the crap out of me from behind.

140

Chris Geroux @cgeroux.bsky.social · 14/03/2026

I try to follow this sign which requires bikes to yield to cars. The driver doesn't understand and waits for me. We sit there for a while with no one moving. Eventual I disobey the sign so we can get on with our lives. This sign is backward to IMP priorities, confusing for all and hard to obey.

A thin layer of fresh snow covers a right hand turn slip lane with a crossing for a multi-use path at a busy intersection. On the other side of the slip lane is a multi-use path, also covered in a thin layer of fresh snow. Snow is falling. On the right hand side of the picture before the crossing is a sign with a bike icon, below that a yield sign and finally below that a car, suggesting bikes should yield to cars. In the distance is a driver in a car is yielding to me on a bike which is out of frame. I am in turn attempting to yield to the driver of the car, no one is moving.
