Margaret Hamilton is the pioneering computer scientist who led the development of NASA’s Apollo mission software. Her code helped land Apollo 11 safely on the Moon, even handling critical errors during descent. She coined the term "software engineering".

I thought it embodied the vibes of the game so well. It truly felt like I was watching a survival horror game being played out in real life, complete with inventory management and ammo conservation. Also loved the big creepy monsters.

Your channel (and @movieswithmark.bsky.social too) has been a big influence on me on getting back into film like I was in college! Went from seeing only a handful of movies in theaters a year, to seeing a few a month and have been really loving it.

I would kill or die for Larry

A small operation in Oregon that hunts truffles with a trained dog has added an unpaid trainee. A cat named Larry accompanies the handler and the truffle dog into the woods every outing, works a patch of ground a little apart from them, and digs with tremendous confidence in places where there is nothing.
The handler says Larry has never found a truffle and shows no sign of understanding the assignment. He does not use scent the way the dog does and he does not respond when the dog makes a find.
He simply digs his own holes nearby and then inspects them. "He thinks he's on the team," the handler said. "He is emphatically not on the team."
