Not that I believe really anything Nuzzi writes, given her record, but the far bigger scandal here is her claim that RFK Jr. was still actively using psychedelics last year, then became HHS secretary in an admin that is killing people for smuggling recreational drugs.

As Bovino and masked DHS officers sweep another Home Depot looking to round up day laborers, a reminder of the meeting in May when Stephen Miller screamed at ICE to stop doing targeted enforcement, start hitting Home Depots and 7/11s and “just go out there and arrest illegal aliens.”
Even with the high-profile arrests of suspects by masked immigration agents and the plane loads of migrants swiftly ferried out of the U.S., President Trump was falling short of the number of daily deportations carried out by the Biden administration in its final year.
So in late May, Stephen Miller, a top White House aide and the architect of the president's immigration agenda, addressed a meeting at the headquarters of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE.
The message was clear: The president, who promised to deport millions of immigrants living in the country illegally, wasn't pleased. The agency had better step it up.
Gang members and violent criminals, what Trump called the "worst of the worst," weren't the sole target of deportations. Federal agents needed to
"just go out there and arrest illegal aliens," Miller told top ICE officials, who had come from across the U.S., according to people familiar with the meeting.
Agents didn't need to develop target lists of immigrants suspected of being in the U.S. illegally, a longstanding practice, Miller said. Instead, he directed them to target Home Depot, where day laborers typically gather for hire, or 7-Eleven convenience stores. Miller bet that he and a handful of agents could go out on the streets of Washington, D.C., and arrest 30 people right away.
"Who here thinks they can do it?" Miller said, asking for a show of hands.

If you’re an immigrant with legal status who’s committed 0 crimes you can be sent to a torture prison where you’ll be raped and dehumanized. If you’re old pals with Trump and ran a pedophile ring you get sent to a cushy minimum security prison despite being ineligible because you’re a sex offender.

Lots of people are saying this. Stephen Miller, 1) Has fucked up over and over. 2) Created an ENORMOUS problem by deporting innocent men to a concentration camp based on lies, where they were tortured. 3) Is personally responsible for the policy that has backfired spectacularly.

ICE has been taking the position nationwide that its field offices, and the detention cells therein, are not facilities "operated by or for [DHS] used to detain or otherwise house aliens," on the argument that the facilities are "processing areas" and therefore not covered detention facilities.
Sec. 527. <<NOTE: Aliens.>> (a) None of the funds appropriated or
otherwise made available to the Department of Homeland Security by this
Act may be used to prevent any of the following persons from entering,
for the purpose of conducting oversight, any facility operated by or for
the Department of Homeland Security used to detain or otherwise house
aliens, or to make any temporary modification at any such facility that
in any way alters what is observed by a visiting Member of Congress or
such designated employee, compared to what would be observed in the
absence of such modification:
            (1) A Member of Congress.
            (2) An employee of the United States House of
Representatives or the United States Senate designated by such a
Member for the purposes of this section.
