There's also a huge problem with the person who has been stalking and harassing you, too. And that most people who follow them don't even realize the kind of person they are. So any sort of talk that goes against how that person is perceived is waved away and ignored, perpetuating the behavior.

A good way to think about github is if it were like a public library. Can pull out any book that anyone has ever written and sent to the library, and even add or change the book (making a separate book altogether) for anyone else to use and enjoy.
