Right. The first thing learned when my spouse and I started dating was the difference between a song and a tune, and when NEVER to utter the word "song." A tune can be an air or a reel or any of a handful of other things, but never a song, unless there are voiced lyrics.

It's weird how after every good thing/gain (even if we don't call it a victory) people circle up to insist we shouldn't celebrate. Celebrating is not how people give up, in my experience; believing we can't win, never win, and have no power is (with a side of joylessness).

The majority of organizing happening in Minnesota isn’t just peaceful, it’s INVISIBLE. Moms showing up who won’t be interviewed on TV, people whose ICE patrols don’t turn into viral video. The grocery runs, the donations, the people filming bc they happen to be there. Please remember this.
