I would argue that from the Instrumentalist perspective anthropomorphisation is misguided because, while useful in managing agents, it frequently fails to adequately predict their behaviour. It might be more accurate to call the application of psychology to AIAs Pragmatic than Instrumentalist.

Saw the meme floating around and added my story from last year.

I have a single word doc that has been nobly protecting the world from exposure to my terrible poetry since ~2017 and I just finished writing the 100th page of size 11 font in it. That's nearly 25000 words of quarantined doggerel. Everyone say thank you to that doc for saving them from it!
