Literally wanted to do this ever since I was a kid. For years I've sometimes tried to walk around the house like my legs are like that.

I've done a lot more painting than posting lately. Here's my mercenaries for a campaign I'm in! They are Serrano's Sparrows, former members of the Republic Armed Forces, and now trying to make ends meet as mercs. #battletech

Four battlemechs painted in olive drab, with dark earthy bases, and yelloe/orange cockpits. From left to right: Wolverine, Thunderbolt, Catapult, Griffin.

Got my genderqueer pride mech finished before the end of the month! First time really experimenting with this much white, and with such heavily varied colors. #PrideMechParade #battletech @catalystgamelabs.bsky.social

A Scorpion miniature from Battletech. This quadrupedal mech is painted in the colors of the genderqueer flag, with the body split into green and purple, and the legs and missile launcher being white, with two feet green and two feet purple. The missile tubes and main gun are a dark silver.

What's your favorite Battletech design? Rugged. Resilient. Reliable. I've loved the Thunderbolt from the moment I laid eyes on it, and playing with it only made me love it more. What a trooper.

First Clan mech! Going for a dirty olive drab for the Striker Star. Planning to run them as Goliath Scorpion Seekers. Also debating if I wanna strip my Thunderbolt and paint it in the same style, to add into the star 🤔 #battletech

A Piranha battlemech from Battletech painted in an olive drab with orange cockpit glass, with a dirt effect all over the body, stomping through muddy earth

Did not expect to hear this song again outside of going out of my way to listen to it. Not complaining, it's a banger. New model looks amazing! And happy early birthday!

Forgot I never posted the finished lance! Still working out lore, and whether or not my future Clan mechs are gonna be part of the same unit and painted the same, or be their own thing. I feel SO much better about this lance compared to my first one. Speedpaints really are magic. #battletech

Four Battletech mechs, from left to right: Battlemaster, Shadow Hawk, Locust, and Thunderbolt, each painted in a desert look of beige and brown, with silver cockpit glass and machinery

Moving onto the second half of the AGOAC box with a new color scheme! Love this little guy, no matter how bad it might be. Such a unique looking design. #battletech

Shadow Hawk model from Battletech, painted in a brown and beige color scheme, with silver metallics. Not really proper "camo", but definitely fit for a desert engagement.

My first 40k miniature! I don't have lore or a symbol yet for my homwbrew chapter, so shoulder symbols will get added later, along with a base. This took me approximately 10 hours so far, I'd say. I know there's improvements to make on later ones, but I'm proud of myself. #warhammer #warhammer40k

Space marine of a yet-to-be-named chapter. Painted primarily in a reddish-purple wine color, with gold trim and white arms.

As someone who never was into 40k prior to Primaris marines, I wish that Primaris were just truescale Firstborn. The advent of Primaris just seems like it was implemented really sloppily, not that it couldn't have been done well. And for homebrew chapters it's an event you kinda HAVE to acknowledge.

Lance complete, ready for the defense of House Liao! #battletech

A lance of four battlemechs from battletech, all painted in the same dark green, with various amounts of weathering and oil stains, and orange/yellow cockpits. From left to right is a Commando, an Awesome, a Catapult, and a Wolverine.

Awesome, online. Decided to try some weathering. Maybe got out of hand in some places but I'm happy with how it turned out for my second mech, and first attempt at proper weathering. #Battletech

A miniature of an Awesome battlemech, from Battletech. It's heavily weathered, with lots of exposed silver where the paint has been perhaps burned or scraped away. The cockpit is a dark orange. The weapons and exposed joints are also silver.

To be fair, steel path really isn't required at all, so don't feel any pressure to do it. I just hit MR 30 and I've probably done steel path a dozen times or so. The steel essence shop has some nice stuff, but other than that it's negligible for the most part.
