*puts on professional critic hat* There are so many reasons Zang Hai was the c-drama of the year but one of the least talked-about imo is that it had one of the most phenomenal battle sequences I've ever seen? 2 eps, clearly modeled after Two Towers, grounded in complex character dynamics, riveting.

My heart won the fight with my brain and clicked faster... So i voted for #cdrama #LegendOfTheFemaleGeneral 🥰 #CdramaCup2025 To highlight the joy (besides some despair) I had with the challenge, here's a fun clip about one of my most hated SML in 2025

To cut a long story short - while #Zanghai is the superior production (in terms of it’s cinematography, it’s structured storytelling, Xiao Zhan’s acting, & some iconic scenes), I just loved the characters more in #LegendoftheFemaleGeneral 🥰 #CdramaCup2025 #cdrama

In case Mr. „Beauty Himself“ Xiao Zhan is not going to win this, I‘m honestly ready to riot. So far I have lost every single horse in the race. He is my last remaining pillar. And he is freaking Xiao Zhan. ‼️❤️ His acting skills and beauty alone are worth every single award out there. ❤️‍🔥

While your fave may have fallen by the wayside (or not even made it into the opening bracket) I hope you have enjoyed thinking back over the year, and maybe even found a new drama to watch. The original bracket of 32 dramas has now been whittled down to a final 4. May the best drama win!
