COVID in Colorado update, 9/23/26 A complex report today. All COVID indicators rise, with a major uptick in wastewater. Hospitalizations & positivity tick up slightly. Flu positivity & hospitalizations are up VERY early. And EV-68 in wastewater remains elevated.

COVID in Colorado update, 7/22/26 After a small uptick last week, COVID's clinical indicators flatten out. Wastewater rises overall, but remains undetectable in most utilities. Thru September, I'll focus on COVID while the seasonal respiratory viruses are in their summer lull.

COVID, Flu & RSV in Colorado update, 6/17/26 All indicators remain very low, with minor upticks in COVID positivity and Wastewater levels. While any upticks is worth watching, they are upticks from some of the lowest levels we've ever had, and remain low.

Measles is highly contagious but preventable with a vaccine. Most of Colorado's cases this year are in children ages 5 to 17. Two have been hospitalized. All but one were unvaccinated. www.cpr.org/2026/04/23/c...

Hey Colorado, In today's wastewater data, there's a SHARP uptick in RSV & COVID, that is not (as of yet) reflected in the trends. COVID is back up near our winter peak, RSV is the highest all season. While this is partial data, it's concerning enough that I wanted to highlight.

Its been a bad day for Pubic Health in colorado. Measles. Mpox. An entire School district closed for illness. Ellicot School District (east of the springs) is closed for illness and cleaning. No info on why.

New HPAI #BirdFlu outbreak in Weld county Colorado. This sounds like it might be at the a facility that had an outbreak in July 2024. (Part of a double outbreak that infected 10 humans) There have been warnings about HPAI H5N1 in the wild bird population in the area kdvr.com/news/local/v...
