@septa-social.bsky.social Can you explain why I couldn't use my keycard for 15 minutes between getting off Regional Rail at Jefferson Station and getting on the L at 11th St Station? Seems like that would be a frequent thing people do when commuting.

@septaphilly.bsky.social How about putting signs up at 13th and market that no buses are stopping there? People have been waiting for 20-30 minutes. Not everyone has an app to check the detours!

Calm before the storm. Happy to be back in NYC for a long (soon to be snowy) weekend!

Still feeling grateful to have received the "LGBTQ+ History Keeper Award" at Councilmember Rue Landau's 2nd Annual Philadelphia LGBTQ+ Hall of Fame Awards this past week. A lovely ceremony and all heros of mine among my fellow awardees past and present. 🙏🌈🏆

@septa-social.bsky.social There’s no sign at 3rd and Market indicating that the 17 is not stopping there. Several people waiting on it as it made this detour.

Happy anniversary, @cccamac.bsky.social! We “met” on Twitter 16 years ago today.
Image shows a screenshot of two tweets discussing the film "Autopsy." The first tweet from @RiversAreDamp expresses a desire to talk about the film's ending. The second tweet from @cccamac mentions confusion about that ending.

In 2008, my mother donated a box of family records to the Holocaust Museum. Do I know anyone who can visit the reading room in Bowie, MD & make scans? Compensated, of course. Recommendations welcome! collections.ushmm.org/search/catal...

So very sad for my alma mater. Some of the most prestigious programs. Not shown here, but I understand the world famous Historical Performance Institute (Early Music Institute when I was there) will no longer be accepting majors either.

I actually got this driver and his Eagles-themed car on a Lyft ride home one night in April. It was so wild! I wasn’t sure @riversaredamp.bsky.social would believe me so I recorded a bit of the ride to show him. I’ll post my video in the thread. share.inquirer.com/MWGEeS

It screeches like an eagle, has a replica Lombardi Trophy, and is the most sought-after ride in Philly. Unless you’re a Cowboys fan.
You’ll likely hear Mucha Nama’s minivan before you see it. From playing “Fly, Eagles Fly” to adorning it with decorations, his Birds mobile is a hit — for most of his customers.

So we did a thing… 🧵 You’ve heard about the erasing of LGBTQ history on National Park Service websites. Egregious changes made to the Stonewall National Monument site (erasing all instances of trans and queer) & the disappearance of resources like the monumental “LGBTQ America” theme study.

Latin Americanists and foreign film buffs: Trying to ID a Latin American film. Only have a meter of 35mm film. Might be titled PRESTAMOS. Kodak edge code suggests copy made in 1922, 1942, or 1962. Perhaps actors, military uniform, or locale will help with ID.

Apple Macintosh PowerBook of some flavor. I think maybe a 540c. I’m older than this model suggests (1993?) as I came to computers late, in grad school.
