Every time one of these stories comes out, it's shown that the parents were actually abusive. There is an asymmetry where the parents are given a platform by Christian nationalist orgs and Fox News while the state cannot discuss any details due to privacy. So the narrative is set by the parents.

One reason trans folks feel adrift given Republican ads on trans people and Democrats going on defense is that unlike a lot of other “out groups,” they lack the political capital of other marginalized groups. There is not an advocacy group on the scale of the NAACP or the NOW for trans people

Finished up my version of STS 41-C. Most of the design is from BrickSpace on Patreon tho I did a lot of rework on the LDEF to make it more size accurate in the payload bay. Getting it to fit around the middle hinges in the payload bay was a challenge lmao.
