Back in 2001 I worked for a company that made the Valencia CF website. I worked on many aspects of it and was the project that actually inspired me to get into backend development as the whole database aspect fascinated me. I particularly remember creating a rather complex history timeline in Flash

Nice demo! I used a similar trick on my recent football formations demo. The ”players” are anchored to cells which are re-positioned to different grid areas as you change the selected formation. codepen.io/editor/cbols...

It looks like I may have pushed my luck with the Custom Selects. I tried to combine it with the experimental carousel using ::scroll-marker etc. It does work in that it displays the markers and they are highlighting on hover. However clicking on them seems to be just too much for the browser 😅

No, there is an issue with this at the moment. They are looking into it. I have been able to delete older beta pens but not ones created in the last couple of weeks.
