This harlequin beetle is probably the most amusing example of me having spent hours drawing detail that's barely perceptible in the final image. I need help.

"Forest Attendant" Black-Capped Chickadee 5"x7" Oil on panel Chickadees are wonderful in so many ways. They're often the first birds to investigate a new situation, and other birds watch & follow them to find food sources. The friendly local 'dees often bring other birds to my yard, to my delight.
