chapter two: try not to die, okay?

"Zen'in-sama, this is Yuji Itadori. He was sent here to take over the duty of guarding you." Okkotsu says, offering an easy explanation for the peasant standing on their engawa.

Yuji eases up from his bow, coming face to face with the young master. Those eyes slide all across Yuji's face, before darting down his neck, chest, and body. Yuji squirms slightly, but does his best to keep still— he doesn't want to anger the young master on their first meeting. He inhales deeply, and is close enough for Yuji to feel the warmth of his exhale along his collarbone, then backs away.

"Satoru sent him?" The young master asks, coolly, though Yuji can sense the barest hint of irritation in his tone.

Okkotsu hums an affirmative, despite Yuji having no idea what he means. "I can personally vouch for his impressive abilities, too. I am relieved to finally have someone of substance to take my place."
