Gardening folks what is the best supplier for vegetable seeds in the uk? I’d like to buy some less common tomato seeds to try to grow next year. I had some lovely homegrown cherry tomatoes in France, different colours & shapes and I’d love to try to grow some myself. 🌱

What a fabulous @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social #GB26 that was. The weather was variable but the grass clearly appreciated the rain as it was greener when we left than when we arrived (trackways excepted). I’m sure Dave the tree will care for our hearts til we meet again in a new festival home.

Online volunteer training completed. Looking forward to this year’s @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social. And the words in the introduction to the training about letting go are making me think.

Who can train to teach RE? 🤔 More people than you think! You don't need to be religious or have a Theology degree. Providers want curious minds from a range of backgrounds. Requirements: An undergraduate degree (usually 2:2+), GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths #getintoteaching

Today in my PhD supervision meeting I was complimented on my use of a semi colon. I was reminded of my secondary school English teacher commenting on a ‘heinous grammatical error’ when I failed to use semi colons correctly. He’s probably no longer around but “Thank you Mr Kettle for your teaching”!

Lovely, if very chilly day, for my last run of the holidays. Saw a robin who kindly posed for me. Just one icy stretch, although that stretch was very icy!! 7.6 miles run with efforts on the uphills.
Ploughed field, with buildings and hills in the background and a blue sky with some clouds. A robin sitting on a stone wall, looking into the camera, with plants and bushes in the background. A road with green verges and occasional bushes each tide, clear blue sky above. An ice covered section of road with green verge on the foreground and verge and hedge in the background.
