I have no reach here and there's no gofundme, but I gotta just get it out. I lost my job in June, in the middle of managing water damage at both homes (one I can't put on the market yet because of it), and my cat Jake was at the hospital again 2 weeks ago to the tune of $5000. I'm stressed as fuck.

I took Dad for a Daddy Daughter Day of Adventure (which wasn't much except a train ride) for his 80th today, but he was so excited and had been looking forward to it for weeks. We had such a lovely time together - we did NOTHING, but I hope I never forget it. Just the 2 of us, with Mom's blessing.

this morning, I couldn't find the cats, so I went to Auntie's room - no open windows at night. Jake has been hanging out there lately. Must have been cold this morning because I found him, then called for Delilah, and she popped up like this. she's been burying herself among the pillows, it seems.

got about 2 yards of dirt cleared today - got 2 raised beds filled and both of my raised planters done. got the strawberry patch down, which was in the nick of time. I've been pinching blossoms off already for a week!

the left over much smaller mound of soil, in front of another neighbor's house. about a yard and a half maybe. Verna the White Van, mine, is in the carport behind the pile of dirt

black galvanized steel raised garden bed with 15 strawberry plants inside. there are 3 planter baskets to the right, containing one more strawberry plant each. a whole mess of random garden/house/yard stuff like a cart, garden tools, random trash pulled out of the yard, etc. surrounds clean lovely bed of strawberry plants.
