this morning, I couldn't find the cats, so I went to Auntie's room - no open windows at night. Jake has been hanging out there lately. Must have been cold this morning because I found him, then called for Delilah, and she popped up like this. she's been burying herself among the pillows, it seems.

got about 2 yards of dirt cleared today - got 2 raised beds filled and both of my raised planters done. got the strawberry patch down, which was in the nick of time. I've been pinching blossoms off already for a week!

went to the coin show today with dad, my sister, and my niece and nephew. one of the booths was new, and passing these out. what in the alternate currency is this? the newest prepper/TrumpBucks scam?

a pamphlet for "Goldback", a barter currency based on the value of gold, and a sample 1/2 goldback, which contains 1/2000 troy ounce of 24k gold (leaf), and is polymer encased. A very quick search on The Google shows this is used primarily in the exact states you might expect it is.

My nephew’s dog Axel thinks he’s people and was sitting in his lap like this one day. So my nephew spent some time this afternoon crafting photoshopped images of Axel being people in various scenarios, per our suggestions.

My beloved Grandfather did an Honor Flight must be 16 years ago now. I met him on the Mall with a professional photographer to follow us around. It was grand. He passed in September 2020. I miss him so much, but I continue to thank him for his service even though he’s gone.

I turned and looked out my sliding glass door last night and saw this sweet little baby just hanging out, rubbing against the door like it wanted to come inside. but it didn't. resident feral, and it's well taken care of, just like the rest of the colony.

sweet little grey and white tabby cat, a teenager I think, with a tipped ear, sitting very politely outside on a porch in front of a glass door. it's golden eyes are just peering inside, checking out the goings on.

big indoor gray tabby cat Jake sits inside, in front of the glass door where the very polite grey and white feral tabby sits opposite him OUTSIDE the glass door. they are both kind of side-eyeing the whole situation, but nobody is going bonkers about it.

I finally got a picture of Interloper 1, Blackie McMidnight. He (she? don't know) was on the frint porch singing the song of his people, and went down the stairs all non-chalant when I went outside. Sat there on the sidewalk shunning me but didn't run!

I'm so excited to see all these turn into butterflies! There were so many on the dill plant tonight - I counted at least 6 but they were so strangely camouflaged I ALMOST didn't notice them at all.
