It’s almost a daily occurrence to see someone drunk/drugged and aggressive or having a mental health episode on the trams. Happened tonight in fact. Everyone suddenly finds their phones or the window riveting. How do you identify the 1 freak time it turns dangerous?

I mostly use it to track steps so I don’t slack off but have also found that resting heart rate tells me very accurately when I’m coming down with something vs battling hayfever.

So I’m in my 50s, chronic asthma. For which I take steroids. Which are immunosuppressants. An insignificant cold will often put me on antibiotics which a chest infection (twice in 12 months). But not free for me. Great thinking. How much will it cost if I land in hospital for a week with pneumonia?

My 14yo son asked me to teach him. At the moment he’s still a baby faced kiddo (taller than me mind you) but he’s on track for 6 foot 5 and built like a truck. I like to think he’ll pop out his knitting on the bus one day.

Not fortunately for her kids clearly. No signs of physical abuse and the screaming was so in line with my upbringing it honestly did not occur to me to ring anyone at the time 😭. I’m glad my kids know better.

My young man once asked our neighbour why she screamed and swore at her similar aged children so much. It did not go down well. Fortunately they moved days after.

I can feel stomach muscles I did not know I had. Hope this isn’t where I find out the hard way that the 6cm of ab separation I had after my 11 pound youngest never healed.

Our rando request a couple of weeks ago was via text: ‘I need a fast charger for my car urgently’. Mum has an electric car and it charges achingly slowly overnight. Their retirement village power supply is not great. Some hours of frantic researching later … she meant a car charger for her phone.

The stunning orchids my gorgeous next door neighbour brought me yesterday. Needless to say, her bins are always brought in/out for her and we regularly thank our lucky stars for the 20 years of peaceful co-existence.

There are non ethnically white countries where there is horrific racism towards people from other ethnicities, religions or just darker skin. We shouldn’t be surprised to see this. Bit of a case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

They’ve been around for ages. I was working on moving equipment from in-house comms rooms to data centres in the early 2000s. AI and Cloud technologies are causing the rapid expansion.

I’m dubious about the reason. Just dropping out because of public outrage - very difficult to believe that there was a get of the contract clause of that nature (as someone who deals with commercial contracts quite a bit). Failure to hit performance targets smells more likely.

I often have my mind blown by the impact of my 17 yo’s vision impairment. Eg. Finding out the hard way that marble stairs look like a ramp to him. And I had no idea until recently that most people don’t see lights as stretched at night. I have an astigmatism.

The AEC runs federal elections. I believe state based electoral commissions run the state ones, we have the VEC in Vic. Territories may be different. While federal and state agencies are independent there is some sharing of functions/data, for example you only need to register to vote with AEC.

Last time my yr 11 was unwell we had to drag him down to the bulk bill clinic and wait for 2 hours because our GP had no appointments that day. Waiting until tomorrow doesn’t work when schools and workplaces demand medical certificates.
