The stunning orchids my gorgeous next door neighbour brought me yesterday. Needless to say, her bins are always brought in/out for her and we regularly thank our lucky stars for the 20 years of peaceful co-existence.

She beat the single inflatable cone of shame after 2 weeks so we are now doubling up with the yellow duck cone of shame. Not keen on dog-assisted bandage removals. We are into week 3 of surgery recovery & getting rammed with the giant plastic cone gets old very fast. Send us all your good vibes 😩

Red sun through the bushfire smoke haze in Melbourne tonight. 1st time my youngest has seen this and my eldest was probably too young to remember. They thought that the cool change meant it was over, we had to tell them the fire makes its own weather.
