(Also, this was the first time all year I had "the perfect month" —aka I read 150 or more pages every day for the month.)

Yeah! If you hit a sweet spot between 90-100k, that leaves wiggle room if you need to make changes and edits WITH an agent or even with an editor at a house. Romance can be anywhere between 70k-100k, with more recent ones being in the 90k range (roughly 360-400 pages)

I believe you can! What's the word count right now and what's the word count of books in the genre? It's probably a lot less cutting than you think!

In a surprise to no one, I'm tired again. Sometimes being in fandom is exhausting.

It’s been two years since I officially completed my AU series wherein Henry becomes the heir to the throne. Five stories. 135k words. One year. Thank you to everyone who read the Heavy Weighs the Crown series as it was posted, later on and even the rereaders! I appreciate you ❤️

Indeed! It’s there, in the drafts! Waiting to be finished! (Because everyone has been asking* to know what he was thinking during the Generations launch when he and Alex first met.) (* - no one is asking)

Happy 2 year completion anniversary to this sucker. 💕 I intended to have a little something done for today as a celebratory thing but you'll just have to wait a little longer for Henry's POV.

If I had a nickel for every time I read a romance series about a group of guys who work in adult films, I'd have 2 nickels. ... which isn't a lot, but weird that its happened twice.

forever is a feeling archiveofourown.org/works/91108486 ❤️ 12k words | rated M Henry needs some guidance on how to extend his visa to stay in the country. “Marry me.” Alex is half-joking. Only half. Henry laughs, and then. Then he tilts his head, thinks about it for a second, and says, “Okay.”

else to get it outside of ordering it from the author's website for anyone in North America (not sure where you're located, but wanted to flag regardless!) (If not in US/CAN, then you can grab it as an ebook/physical book elsewhere.)

In Your Court by Kit Haley (another tennis romance, but they do rivals reeeally well and it delves into what it means to actually want to be the best in your sport but the person standing in your way is also the person you want a future with.) I did read this as an ARC though, so I'm not sure how +

It's kind of wild that nearly 2 years later, I still get kudos emails for Comment/Question. Between that and people mentioning re-reading it, I get very fuzzy good brain vibes every time. Thanks, friends 💕
