jess is right! it’s worse than ever for women in this field, and it was still pretty bad at our peak. im one of the lucky freelancers who has regular work (probably work more than i did at polygon!), and it’s still not a livable amount of pay. it’s pushing important and skilled women out.

Mysogyny remains a deeply entrenched and powerful force within the games industry. Like almost every woman or non binary person in this industry, I've got my share of horror stories. Often it's men in positions of power, who've made themselves unassailable. We all deserve so much better.
