This photo was taken from Colgate Pier in Jersey City, NJ, in early August of 2001. Every day from November 1996 to 11th September 2001, I walked through the South Tower to get to work. I worked less than four blocks from World Trade Center. 1/2

The sky's not orange (everything is just ... gray haze), but the sunset should be spectacular. You can smell the smoke even inside. Air quality has tanked and I'll be keeping my asthmatic ass inside today. 😶‍🌫️

Thank you! It took a bit of swatch-testing, but I eventually got to a comparable color blend. (Ended up removing my glasses and getting inches away from the paper to draw the seeds. (Talk about immersing one's self in one's work.)😅
