While I’m being visible, I’m going to shout my novel to the fucking rooftops. Aftertaste absolutely kicks more ass and is better than you think it is, trans person reading this who delayed reading it or has only read chapter one. I’m not gonna pretend it doesn’t own. Read what people say about it!

You wrote a beautiful and powerful narrative whose fantastical elements make it feel more real than reality ... after reading the first two chapters I gave up on whatever I was supposed to be doing and read the whole draft. cried like anything - so much connected so deeply! - also laughed a lot.

it's funny dating emoria before aftertaste got written, because now i'm at a point where i can see so many other pople so glad they found her just i am

it's the fact that i found aftertaste so soon after fully embracing the woman I am. I feel like it was so important to read because there was so much shit that hit so close to me, thoughts I've had during my transition, the symbolism of certain elements, fuck, it was such a powerful experience and I'm grateful that I came across it at the time of my life that I did. Thank you.

THE DEFINITION of being trans is not identifying with the gender you were assigned at birth!!! Anyone who doesn’t is trans, by DEFINITION. it’s totally chill if an AFAB who uses she/they pronouns doesn’t want to say “I’m trans” but they are, at least by what the term means! We’re all welcome!

We're a media criticism podcast and this week we explored why this war has felt different from past US wars, particularly George W. Bush's Iraq War, which was perhaps the most sold war in US history. Trump did none of that and everybody hates this war. Not even the usual media warhawks are happy!
