Thanks. I only did a PoC so far but separated a common new record modal into its own page object. Then learnt about composition, and added that modal as a property on pages where it appears. Trying to learn some other good practices before I get "too far" and have a lot to change. Wanna start right.

A four-panel comic by queeeerchameleon.
Panel 1: Three chameleons on two branches, one in trans flag colors, one in gender fluid flag colors, and one in non-binary flag colors. Text - someone has a gender you don't understand?
Panel 2: A chameleon in pride flag colors on a branch. Text - that's how stuff works sometimes.
Panel 3: closeup of the pride flag chameleon's face. Text - I don't understand French...
Panel 4: extreme closeup of the pride flag chameleon's face. Text - but the language STILL EXISTS.

The people we're dealing with right now don't actually want us gone completely. You can't be at the top of a pyramid unless there are people below you. What they want is to reestablish structures that keep us controlled. They want to overtly give themselves all of the advantages.

In my world, “the talk” is what Black parents have w/our kids, about how to survive an encounter w/police who see them as a threat because of our skin color. Latino families have their talk, w/kids even younger, about ICE who see them as criminals: “If we disappear…” Different fear. Same America.

I've found myself very torn lately, and this post has spoken to me. I don't know how to respond to the state of the world right now. What does ethical living even look like anymore? How can one resist without burning (out)? How public should it be? How much is (not) enough? 😓
