I have been asking my partner for months to add me to his work insurance, but he hasn’t wanted to do the paperwork. So I had to call and update my plan today to make sure I had my needed coverage. Now that the price is set to increase by $120, he has the motivation to ask his boss for it 🙇‍♀️🤦‍♀️

These are the types of candles that were in the champagne bottles that caused the Swiss bar fire. One employee reportedly had another over his shoulder, and she was holding the bottles... No fucking wonder the bar went up in flames. That whole situation was incredibly reckless. RIP to the dead.

A red and white cheesecake with a "fountain candle"; a candle with a metal base and shoots off sparks, more than a regular sparkler.

My partner and I adopted Lucy the Puppy last month, and today be told me our neighbours two doors down also have a puppy the same age 😂😅 Which means the neighbour we share inbetween us is surrounded by barking on both sides 💀😅 At least they're chill? #dogsofbluesky

My partner and I had puppy classes today, and we were supposed to go to his holiday party tonight. He was pissed off when we got home, because the class 'didn't go well'. (We were at the back of a busy Petsmart literally in the aisle. Of course it wasn't gonna go well. 1/3

The rapid closing of inner city schools in the 2000s is starting to catch-up with #yeg & #epsb John A. Mcdougall School lost it's junior high program in 2001, alongside the closures of Alex Taylor and Queen Mary Elementary Schools. 25 years later, McDougall is almost at elementary capacity.

I'm late to the #dreamacademy party. I watched the Finale, + I was thinking "Dang, the four who didn't make it look really good together." So now I'm hearing Emily + Samara are going to be in another project from the label, as well as Lexie. Hopefully it's a 5-piece with Ezrella + Marquise.

More #dogtax for Lucy! She had difficulty settling in overnight Friday, so I slept next to her on the ground (my poor back 😬). Last night, I slept on the couch while my partner went back upstairs. Guys. She made it through the night with no problems. I'm kind of shocked?

The goal of Spotify’s algorithm isn’t to help you discover new music, its goal is simply to keep you listening for as long as possible. It serves up the safest songs possible to keep you from pressing stop. Read more from @terrenceobrien.bsky.social: www.theverge.com/column/81574...

Did y'all know that if you get your Airpods engraved at Apple that the engraved text shows up on your case in iOS? My boyfriend surprised me with a new set of Airpods for my birthday and I was shocked to see that was the case 🙃

My bf & I got into a stand-off over bed time. I told him to go to bed early (10PM) since he was already napping on the couch. I wasn't sleepy yet. BF didn't want to go to bed without me. BF has now been fast asleep on the couch for 4 hours now, and I'm just starting to get sleepy 🙃

Apparently #LAPD is trying to shutdown watch parties to try and prevent rioting if the Dodgers win Which is hilarious because if the Blue Jays win the RCMP and multiple urban police forces will be half-heartedly breaking things up #worldseries

The Avengers: #Doomsday trademark is still pending 😬 Ironically, the update for Doomsday was exactly one year after the trademarks for #KangDynasty expired 🙃

Screen ap from the US Department of Trademarks and Patents showing that the trademark for 'Avengers: Doomsday' is live, but still pending approval.

Apparently most of the #yeg unions are united on who they are endorsing for public school trustees, Mayor, and city councillors. The only difference I've seen is for Ward tastawiyiniwak. 2/3 unions I've looked at don't have anyone endorsed there. #yegelection2025

Based on anniversary releases I am seeing pop up on Spotify this past year, I think 15 year old me had a really good ear for what would become the solid house classics of the 2010s. It's really impressive, actually. *I will be adding a playlist shortly, because legit tho

I'm finally getting around to reading the #Avengers Kang Dynasty script that leaked some time back... and, oh man. I can totally see where some of these earlier films and shows were going, and I'm upset. Everything was so linear. It seems like they removed characters for Doomsday and that sucks.

Disney/ABC have a responsibility to refuse to participate in corruption. Kimmel must be reinstated. If Disney/ABC agree to this extortion then perhaps creatives + workers should consider collective action to push back. Same w/buying park + cruise tickets if they bow. People have power. Ask Target

Something that just hits differently in Canada: There are multiple high schools in the area that share open space with rec centres/gyms that have been built into or attached to the school buildings. Nothing bad happens. People don't try to gain access through the rec centre. Gun laws work.
