My 18yo did a hilarious amount of research into whether he wanted a comforter or duvet cover for his college dorm. Factors included how often he would have to wash each, how it altered the sheet situation, cost and the duvet tying option.

I remember going to Cracker Barrel in like 2000 and asking myself “did they get that much worse? Or did my tastes improve?” Probably both. But also, pizza. We have access to so much different pizza now and most of it is good. There is fast casual wood-fired pizza! That’s amazing.

This is so true. My favorite examples: * we fixed Brussels sprouts (by how we genetically engineered them and how we cook them) * we know how to freeze foods now so all frozen foods are better * home recipes are more sophisticated, accurate and better * we eat the whole world’s best foods
