Today, we are bringing Chicago’s FIRST Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) to Ridge/Hollywood/Wayne. After a decade in the making - passing a state law and appropriating $200,00 in state funds - a PHB will bring immediate traffic improvements to Ridge. The project is set to be completed in early 2027.

IT’S OFFICIAL! House Bill 3564 is set to become law on January 1st, 2027! HB3564 establishes a $50 cap for rental application fees, bans 11 types of junk fees, caps move-in fees at 20% of rent, and requires move-in fees to be itemized, among more protections for renters. (1/2)

On Monday, the U.S. EPA announced changes to PFAS regulation for public drinking water. I saw this coming, and in 2025 I passed SB727, the Safe Public Drinking Water Act, which ensures Illinois will maintain the strongest regulations against PFAS in the nation. See my full statement below.
