Done some touch up on this work I've done earlier this year for @paulscottcanavan.com mentorship so time for a repost ! (And go check out Paul's mentorship, there still some place left for next semester I think and its really a great way to push yourself to another level!) #art

An illustration showing an old dwarf woman riding a dinosaur. She wear brown and green clothes and his looking towards the horizon, hiding her eyes from the sun with one hand.
The dinosaur has green and yellow feathers and wait for something. Around them there are many other dinosaur, mostly
ankylosaures, and their dwarf riders. In the background, a pine forest and mountain ranges. The scene seems to take place at early morning and the ground is wet and covered with pools.

My heart is still utterly broken, but I’m so glad to have had you in my life for so long. Goodbye my sweet Bady cat.

Picture of the world most lovely cat, Bady, staring lovingly

Picture of the world most lovely cat, Bady, in a red sweater, questioning the choices of her pet parents

Picture of the world most lovely cat, Bady, standing gracefully

Last Wednesday, Bady, our beloved cat for the past 17 years, passed away just 15 days after being diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. Her passing was peaceful. We had the opportunity to say goodbye at home, in her favorite spot; a sunny window nook that overlooks the trees, looking up at me as she nuzzled on my lap.
Bady cat was my friend, my companion, and my family.
Bady has been with me every single day since 2009.
Bady has been with me for almost my entire adulthood.
She has been there to bring joy, to bring silliness, to bring comfort. She has been there to grace us with her presence, to be the most loving creature, whom I, in all my luck, had the privilege to know and live with.
Since her passing, there has yet been a day where I have not mourned nor grieved. Yet the joyful lifetime of memories she has so wonderfully gifted us has consistently reminded me how wonderful and special it is to love such a magnificent being.
I will miss you Bady, my sweet girlie cat. I hope to see you in my dreams and in whatever realm lies after our own far off passing. But for now, thank you Bady. Thank you for giving me the most magnificent present of all, your friendship, your companionship and your love.
Thank you, my darling cat.

So deeply not kidding when I say that the current paradigm of "Gen AI" is doing deep, lasting harm to our ability to make knowledge, meaning, & truth w/ each other. Like… it's really fucking us up & if we don't stop it soon we're gonna see a kind of negative chaos frankly unimaginable to most ppl 👍🏾

screenshot of a Tumblr post from user ecofear yelling "what is HAPPENING" in response to a screenshot of a quotetweet from user @Ovichknox reading "this is so scary to me. i recommended a book to a friend recently and she came back to me a day later saying it was really good and i asked if she finished it already and she said "yeah i got chatgpt to summarise each chapter into 3 paragraphs to it was easy to read"
which is replying to a tweet from @alz_zyd reading "Personally, I read a bunch of classics in high register in college. I guess it was fun. I recently ChatGPT'd Aristotle into readable English, finished it around 5x as fast as a translation, and felt l got the main gist of things. idk does the pain incurred…"

Followed by a a reblog from tumblr use moonglade-poetess reading "Hey guys, with so much love, and as someone with an actual English degree:

Please just use Sparknotes if you're going to do this. I get it. I do. But chatgpt or other genAl shit doesn't actually know what's important for you to know, and in some cases it might fully make shit up. Use sparknotes. Failing that, talk to someone who did read it. I'm begging.
