Atlanta narrowed three blocks of Peachtree Street in 2021 and installed a crosswalk. Then after opposition, the city converted the road back - partly: The crosswalk wasn’t removed, just left it to fade. Last month, a man was hit by a car in the crosswalk and killed. www.ajc.com/news/health-...

Transportation inequity is having to roll 1mi in winter rain at night. It’s coming home soaked & having to roll down the hallway carpet for 10 min til my wheels dry. Equity is building a robust transit network for everyone so disabled ppl are included. But carden least u got some plastic flex posts

Remember the pods on the Beltline tour last week? I filed an ORA and the tour was hosting Maritz by the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau

The tour was ABI’s effort to support the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau during a
corporate familiarization tour hosting Maritz’s top sourcing agents for citywide association and
corporate business to showcase the City of Atlanta (the “City”) and hopefully bring business to
the City. In this regard, ABI provided a short tour of the Beltline that went from Krog Street to
Ponce City Market (approximately 1.3 miles) on Friday, November 8, 2024, at approximately
10:00 am ET. The vehicles were driven by the following ABI employees: Meghann Gibbons,
Heather Clave, Keona Swindler, Alex Gilliam and Laura Linman. The passengers were staff from
the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau and team members from Maritz, but ABI does not know
or have the names of any of those individuals.
Under the ORA Act, ABI is only required to produce non-privileged, non-excluded public
