And yes I know you, seasoned critical thinker, can flawlessly detect the good from the bad. But there are people out there who cant, and dont realise that they cant. And we're literally just encouraging uncritical thinking because we don't care about having an actual debate with 'stupid people'

It's so stupid to me when people say they like moistcriticals opinions because they're sometimes really good to balance out when they're really bad. I've heard some of his bad takes and it is so clear that he never puts any thought into them past the surface level

Call me lame or something but I think thumbnails are just as much an artistic piece of the youtube medium as the video itself. Some of my favourite creators have such an evocative approach to them, and I hate how it's just seen as something to swap and change for the sake of revenue

Idk bout you but I kinda stopped watching Veritasium mainly because of his video thumbnails. Like they're just pasty clickbait cards and they change every 2 days to try and hit 'optimal statistics' or whatever and the vibe is just dead for me.
