The so-called "Nordic model" still relies on the immiseration of the Global South, and leaves room for the fascists to keep re-taking power, which they have done repeatedly and currently are doing. Dishing out some social welfare does not appease or teach them. We have to address systems head-on.

This is one of the most eviscerating and valid critiques a lot of us can get about work we're doing that purports to confront systems, especially if aid is part of it. It takes some very serious and detail-oriented thinking to arrive at what "organizing with people" means in specific times/places.
