My LEGO IDEAS SPLATOON PROJECT reached 1,000 supporters, and to celebrate, I made models of Kaori & John, the original promotional squid-kids! 💖 SUPPORT — beta.ideas.lego.com/product-idea... #lego | #splatoon | #splatoonart | #legoideas | #legomoc

LEGO MOC build, showcasing models of both Kaori and John, two promotional characters seen in the Splatoon (2015) box art.

Kaori, an orange haired Inkling girl, is seen jumping with joy, with ink coming out of her Splattershot weapon.

John, a blue haired Inkling boy, is bothered by the orange ink, and is seen shielding his face from the incoming ink.

miraculous: paris under siege is one of the most beautiful discs i've ever played... a game that is so hazy and unstable that it could only have been conceived in a dream. i also accidentally got a world record by finishing it in one sitting on stream. here's the proof.. youtu.be/FTTX1dttw-E

This is what they would look like in the squid universe if anybody was wondering. And yes, the band would be called Seacolourgirl.

3D Mainichi Modern characters but in the Splatoon universe. Thompson is a baby inkling, Biff is a prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), Ghillie is a cohock, Walgreen employee is an octoling, Soup Kitchen is a sea slug (Aeolidia papillosa)

a short comic featuring Pearl, Marina, and Eight for @encorepwease.bsky.social zine. thanks for your support! #splatoon #offthehook

some kinda ninty sploon page 1
An unseen announcer says “Floor Start!
Go Pearl!”
Pearl in cyber gear in a virtual training arena shoots a bunch of fish robots.
A giant orb is knocked over the edge of the arena.
The task was to “Guide the 8-ball to the goal.”
“Wha?” says Pearl.
Words flash over the screen “Game Over.”

sploon comic page 2
“Another lost ball… not cool.” Pearl removes her VR headset.

“But it’s essential to the challenge! Game design friction!” Marina, Pearl’s friend, says while grasping her laptop. They are in a soundroom with computers everywhere.

“I know you’re a genius Marina, but would it kill ya to add guard rails?” says Pearl leaning in.

“The playtesters seemed to do OK…”
“Oh, Eight! Mind giving “8-ball” another try?” Marina turns to Eight, who just walked in with a tray of mandarins and energy drinks.

However, Eight has a flashback of their testing days...
“You let an 8-ball fall-”
“-Test Failed.” a voice on intercom says as Eight looks over the edge of a cliff.

Back in the soundroom, Eight appears to have fainted.
“See? Do it for Eight!” Pearl hugs Eight trying to wake them.

“Ahh sorry…” Marina says.

Comic work is progressing nicely, almost at the end of the sketching phase! Haven't got my hands on Raiders (or even a Switch 2, still debating it) but rest assured I am very enamored by Deep Cut's goofball antics with the Mechanic. I can't believe these goobers survived being stranded for a month.
