RE: ArtCraft I think it's interesting how their website says "Stop renting from websites" while selling subscriptions themselves... I'm all for people exploring alternatives to Adobe, but I'm not sure if ArtCraft is it long term. I'd rather we use + invest in + improve + promote existing […]

The Art Squirrel's blog has an amazing article on SVG Based Motion Graphics Software: theartsquirrel.com/3908/svg-based-m… I already knew of #enve, @friction, #synfig, @glax, and #graphite, but I discovered #WickEditor, #Vivus […] [Original post on mastodon.design]

I've used #pretix for a few events, and although I really like how feature-rich it is, the UX (both on the backend and public-facing pages) could use some serious design reworking. It was one of the few #FOSS alternatives out there to #Eventbrite and such, so […] [Original post on mastodon.design]

Does anyone know where I could find the app download files (.MSI and AppImage) for the Glimpse Image Editor? I know the project was discontinued long ago, but I still use it from time to time, and I'd like to have access to it in the future in case I change OS or device. #GnuIMP […]

These are some lovely fonts, free for all non-commercial use, small businesses that give back to the community, and public-benefit corporations. wehtt.am/fonts via @piccalilli #fonts #design #UXUI #webdev

This might be a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know the name of the #SiteGenerator (can't remember if it's a #SSG) / #CMS / #SiteBuilder that works by reading a folder with files. The files can be docx, #markdown, #HTML, image files, etc. The platform can read them all, and generates a site […]

Small win of the day: figured out how to add a light / dark mode toggle for the #Publii CMS and static site generator! This is a feature that has been requested many times in the community forums, and a solution now exists! Just a few tweaks right inside the […] [Original post on mastodon.design]

So #vfx people, is anyone here familiar with FreeMoCap? I'm considering it as the Rokoko suit I have is a total disappointment. But been installing freemocap and its stuck on downloading for about 30 minutes now and no sign of when it will be done. There is no documentation on how big this thing […]
