I talk to people quite often about hip hop and what you'll often see is that they DO like rap, just not when black people make it bc when you ask what they listen to, they say kpop (which is HEAVILY hip hop/rnb inspired), localized rap (spanish rap in my case), white rappers like Eminem, etc

Drake sued UMG (his label) for defamation bc they allowed diss tracks about him to be published which he says made false and damaging claims against him. Basically he lost a rap beef and got his feelings hurt so he went to court lmaooo 😭😭😭

A fun thing you can do is pop onto Zillow, look at all rentals in a random chunk of the greater LA area, sort by recently changed, then check every price increase to see if it was more than 10%.
