Just found a Halloween tree ornament, of the Bone Dog from @tkingfisher.com's book, Nettle and Bone, for our Xmas tree on Vinted 🥳 It'll fit in beautifully with the general colour scheme and theme of our tree ornament collection 😁

I was just curious 🙂 We get Mandarins by the bucketful on the Canal, but locally we only have the one regular Wood Duck, a definite male. I don't think he's ever had a female with him to use to compare. Though if yours is a female then he might have and I just not realised 😆

Had a rather unusual visitor on the Watford stretch of the canal today. This damned dinosaur was HUGE, came up past the bottom of my ribcage! Also gave me a nasty thwack on the hip when I stopped it hunting/trying to eat our neighbour's cat, going to have one hell of a bruise 😖 #UKCanals #BoatLife

Carter got his own claw stuck in his mouth. Managed to get him unhooked despite his struggles. No visible blood or tearing of his mouth or claw or toe. Guess it's keep an eye on him time. What I wouldn't give for just one stress free night.
