Here's a VERY late Batman Day post! I wanted to celebrate this historic character by designing my own take on Batman; taking inspiration from Absolute, Battinson, and the Court of Owls Saga suit. #batman #batmanday #dccomics #dcallin #comics

They're openly calling to lock up every trans person by force. We need every ally to speak out forcefully against this because trans folks cannot do this on our own.
Alt text: A tweet from Joey Mannarino (@JoeyMannarinoUS) dated August 27, 2025. The tweet calls for Health and Human Services to violate HIPAA laws and forward information about every transgender and transgender-questioning person to law enforcement for immediate detainment, claiming they are killing children in schools. It describes this as a matter of national security, says transgender people should be locked away and studied, calls for medical professionals who enable transitions to be expelled from the profession, and demands that the federal government treat transgender people as if they were terrorist organizations. The tweet shows it was last edited at 1:11 PM and has 5,049 views.

Hey guys, so remember how I wrote about the four stages of how P25 and Republicans want to enact anti-trans censorship? This signals that we have FULLY entered Stage Two: We lose the trans internet. Stage One is over - they've already gotten there. Please pay attention to this now.

More people need to understand the massive negative externalities - and huge bloody bills - imposed on the entire world wide web by LLMs. The sense of entitlement to other people's labour and other organisations's hugely increased monthly overheads of the tech bros is nothing short of depraved.

This was my first big painting project, 9 6x24" panels studied from a walk around Cleveland. Decent for 2 days & nights without sleep, surviving that first final critique was worth it for the chocolate Dunkin donut and orange juice [ #art #illustration ]
A set of 3 acrylic paintings. The first depicts a city street, there is a store sign in the right foreground, a car moving into frame from the left and 2 more cars obscured by a grassy median. The second depicts a glassy building reflecting yellow light, broken up by several trees with and without leaves. The third depicts a different building with several storefront awnings, cast in orange light, and is framed to the right by street lights and a cloudy, early evening sky to the left.Another set of 3 acrylic paintings, growing noticeably darker, saturated, and gestural. The first here depicts a sidewalk, framed by trees and greenery lit by ground lights, with parked cars to the right. A red fire hydrant leads the eye down the length of the sidewalk. The second depicts 2 trees painted in dark orange and maroon tones, contrasting a building softly lit with red and soft yellow. The third depicts a similar scene as the second, but the trees are nearly black in silhouette against a building brightly lit in yellow and orange, and the hint of a diluted purple evening sky.The final set of 3 acrylic paintings, which contrast deep indigo of night against bright warm tones. The first is a large tree, lit in the center-right by a street lamp. The second looks down a disheveled street. There is caution tape and orange cones around a small tree, and a car crossing the intersection in the background. The road is dark, without much lighting. The final piece shows the very first painting's store sign, giving context to the starting point of perspective.

ocean horror magical girl She's the first of the six and the one with the most concrete design so far. A lot of ocean horror leans towards sharks, so i wanted to experiment with jellyfish, snakes, and oarfishes for her
Three sketches of a young woman, with two being portraits and the third being a full body.
The first is an uncolored, unfinished sketch of a woman with thin lips and straight hair that slightly curls at the ends. It's in three forths view and she's looking past the camera. Beside it are the words "first concept"
The second is a colored and slightly rendered portrait with the same woman in a three forths view looking at the camera. She has medium-toned skin with orange-red undertones and long brown hair that parts just off the middle. It's a bit thicker and lays down over her shoulders. She has hooded, downturned eyes, a prominent nose and chin, and thin eyebrows. She has a bit of a farmers tan across her cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin.
The third is a colored sketch of the same woman. She is standing up straight and has her hands in her pockets. She wears a white, long sleeved shirt with a dark grey t-shirt overtop of it. Her pants are a desaturated blue and a mixture of cargo pants and fisherman's pants. She has brown work boots. Behind this sketch is a light blue backdrop, and color swatches are beside her.A concept sketch for a magical girl outfit.
A brunette woman with medium-toned skin stands upright, facing mostly towards the camera. She has a flat, black hat that is tied around her hair with a blue ribbon. Her hair is down, with most of it remaining down her back save for thin locks infront of her ears. These come down her chest and end at about waist level.
She wears a two-toned gray jacket with additional padding around the neck. It seems to be very sturdy and meant for harsh weather. Bright blue tag accents are on the upper part of the sleeves and the front, where the zipper would be. Around her neck is a bow that goes from a deep purple at the middle part to a ocean blue and a bright blue at the ends.
Around her mid body, the jacket is tucked in to a waist-fitted ribbon that denotes where her skirt starts. She has a bow at her back with similar coloring to the one around her neck. The skirt itself has three tiers of ruffles, with jellyfish-like spotting and patterns as it goes lower. It also has a purple to blue to light blue ombre. It stops around upper-thigh, and underneath bright teal bloomers are visible.
Over her skirt seem to be bright teal ropes that coil around the top of her skirt and drape downwards like jellyfish tentacles.
She wears bright blue and teal leggings with vertical stripes.
Her boots are the same two-tone grey as her jacket and come up to her mid-calf. They also seem to be sturdy and water resistant, though they still are relatively sleep. They have bright teal accents along the sides.A colored and shaded (but unrendered) background drawing of a living room. The camera is facing towards the wall, with half of a couch and a bedside cabinet beside it. A lamp is turned on and its shade positioned such that the light is presented at a downward angle across the scene. The lighting is harsh, with warm yellow oranges in light and dark blues and browns in shade. A woman sits on the couch.
She is a brunette woman whose hair is town and slightly unkempt. She leans back against the corner of the couch with both her feet on an orange carpet. One arm is thrown over the back of the couch and half of her face rests in the other. Her elbow is leaning against the arm of the couch. She wears a light, long-sleeved shirt with a dark t-shirt over it, medium-toned jeans, and dark shoes. While implied to be blueish, her clothing appears brown in the light. She looks up at the camera with her uncovered eye, a bright blue for her iris.
Behind her, there are paintings of sea creatures with colors so vibrant against the backdrop that they don't seem real. To her left, a tall painting with a rectangular frame of a bright blue sea snake consuming a much smaller, orange one. Just above her is a square painting of a fish laid across a table, bright red where it has been gutted. This red seems to drip down from the painting and across the couch. To her right, three smaller paintings with circular frames. They seem to be portraits of jellyfishes, all bright blue with red details.
At the very top of the room, looming above her, are three square paintings. A single oarfish with bright blue detailing crosses among all of them despite being in separate frames. At the edges, there is some red like the fish was cut into sections. There are two full-body colored sketches side by side, showing off different outfits.

The first is of a medium-toned brunette woman with hooded, down turned eyes, thin lips, and a prominent nose. Her hair is down and drapes over her left shoulder.
While most of her build is obscured by clothing, she seems a bit lankier and on the bustier side.
She wears a white, long-sleeved shirt with a dark grey t-shirt on top. Both seem to be slightly oversized and the fabric gathers at the waist, where she has her hands in her pockets.
She wears baggy blue jeans with the top underneath her skirts. They are flatter at the thighs, but at the knee and especially the ankles the jeans gather. They cover the ends of her heels and bundle over her shoes, which are not drawn here. Instead, it'd just the outline of shoes.

The second sketch is of the same woman in the same position. Her face and hair remains the same, save for the fact that her hair curls a bit at the ends. She wears a flat, black hat with oily purple-blue reflections. It ties around her hair with a blue ribbon, covered by a bow with a purple to blue to bright teal ombre.
Similar to her concept art outfit, she wears a sturdy, two-toned gray jacket. Bright blue tag accents are on the upper part of the sleeves and the front, where the zipper would be. Around her neck is a bow with the same color gradient as the one in her hair.
At her mid body, the jacket is tucked in to a waist-fitted ribbon. She has a final bow propped at her back. The skirt itself has three tiers of ruffles, with jellyfish-like spotting and patterns as it goes lower. It has a deep purple to sky blue gradient. Underneath bright teal bloomers are visible.
Over her skirt seem to be bright teal ropes that coil around the top of her skirt and drape downwards like jellyfish tentacles.
She wears bright teal leggings with vertical stripes.
Her boots come up to her mid-calf and have the same sturdiness as her jacket.
