Well that's a wrap on all of Frank's DUNE books... I guess I'll try and wrap up Hunters & Sandworms and then I'm freeeee

Censoring because I'm fearful of the gifs that might come my way if it was a quote. I'm dying lol

Screenshot of a blue sky post, a user actually typed:
"don't make me give you a Robert downy Jr eye roll gif...

a war of the freshest dankest gifs could kill us both"

Pick a Bond from the photos you already have on your phone

9 games thing is tough I feel like I ended up with a lot of nostalgia/childhood picks probably because that was when I had the most time to play and make memories with friends

Post an iconic horror movie image This one still gets me

020

calvin @calvins.pizza · 01/03/2026

It seems almost pointless to make a complaint about the sequel trilogy but this has still not left my mind. when would this hinged piece of shit ever make practical sense? This image should forever be the shorthand for "were out of ideas" but the content is too forgettable for it to stick

Finally sat down to read this, fantastic, fantastic. There's something in the balance of the short dialog and the heavy art style that hit me just right. A real effective and emotional sense of place and time in great precision. Immediately going to read more @aaronlosty.bsky.social

I am having an internal crisis over this... while also remembering this is the kinda weather folks are observing and protesting in MN. You guys are wild and strong

010

calvin @calvins.pizza · 04/02/2026

oh so no one is using YTMusic, huh?

calvin @calvins.pizza · 29/01/2026

VIX is up over 10%? Is this because of gay Miis

000

calvin @calvins.pizza · 24/01/2026

I used to have this watch that played ultra short cartoons about a man and his dog. I guess it also had a game or two on it?

Thinking about playing Endless Duel over and over again via an emulator on the family computer that was inexplicably in the kitchen

calvin @calvins.pizza · 12/01/2026

New cover almost done, it's at the edge of (past) my vocal range and you will notice 😅

Finally saw Ciani perform live, incredible stuff

calvin @calvins.pizza · 18/11/2025

If I recall correctly Ubik starts out exactly like this, the main character can't afford to pay his toaster in the morning. It's probably not the only PKD to make this prediction

031

calvin @calvins.pizza · 10/11/2025

saw folks were enjoying the Event Horizon prequel comics. I hadn't seen the movie so I watched that first then read the two issues that are out.. kind of a wild choice to take a cosmic/abstract horror and anthropomorphize it, idk if that's the move The art rules though

calvin @calvins.pizza · 02/11/2025

Feeling pretty emotional after finishing this. similar to how Matt Reeves Planet of the Apes movies use non-human characters to explore very human challenges, Tchaikovsky is a master of abstracting what it means to be a "person" Onto the next one!

Cover of the novel "Dogs of War" by Adrian Tchaikovsky

"Very funny and cute use of AI" Dude.

calvin @calvins.pizza · 26/10/2025

There is some minimal but noticeable damage on the back cover from shipping though 🥲 could be worse I guess but a bit of a bummer. Certainly not the artists' fault

000

calvin @calvins.pizza · 24/10/2025

Realized it would be fun to patch a Boundary Layer function with a seq where the seq controls the Bound input of the function (which opens lpg) Seq out mult'd to a quantizer & pitch input so the higher the sequencer step the higher the pitch but the shorter and less loud the played note #eurorack

Had some guys over last weekend, nice to have an excuse to use almost everything

calvin @calvins.pizza · 21/10/2025

If they're not a journalist... why did Halligan initiate contact? This is so absurd; if people weren't being materially hurt I'd swear I was in a Cohen Brothers prank show

calvin @calvins.pizza · 19/10/2025

I used to make music with my best friends but adulthood has made us busy and far away from each other. For 4 days they're here to watch movies and record songs. Hard to put into words what this means to me. These guys just speak my language and I typically feel pretty alone

Nothing better than old friends enjoying your noise shit

Made another 2x8 passive OR, this little scope is the best! Would hate to rack and patch this up without testing it

020

calvin @calvins.pizza · 22/09/2025

I just wanted to learn some Irish words, turns out they were posting AI slop and didn't appreciate me asking

000

calvin @calvins.pizza · 18/09/2025

It's herreeeeee 😁

It's really funny to me that "planning a trip" is always pushed as a feature an LLM would be good at How busted you gotta be to click this button?

calvin @calvins.pizza · 15/09/2025

Notebook keeps opening to this page, what does it mean??

Here's 15 seconds of a nice creek on a nice day. In case it helps.

This person got added simply for sharing a worry a lot of people have. There's no joke, no gloating. The people collecting these names simply want bad things to happen to strangers they disagree with.

calvin @calvins.pizza · 14/09/2025

😂 this one being on their list

000

calvin @calvins.pizza · 14/09/2025

Did love this Basquiat nod too

000

calvin @calvins.pizza · 07/09/2025

Wow yeah alright I like what this is doing, especially with the cult-leader-anarchist character and where he ends up vol1, excited to read the next one!
