I was giving a tour once at the east end of the mall, and there is still a cook statue there. While I was yapping about how vile this person was, a bunch of people posed under it with an Aboriginal flag. It was nice to see.

I had a cool consultation with an immigration lawyer this morning. The upshot is that I'm in a good place to get Canadian PLR, but that A. I have to get an actual job for a year and B. I have to learn French and sit a test, scoring good grades. I guess those guys won after all this time after all.

actually doing my nut in about the 'just buy air con' discourse regarding london. 1. Poor people especially homeless people cant afford it 2. Its a city of 8 million people. We dont have that many units to give out. 3. Huge amounts of us work outside. Air con wont help me there. We need a day off.

And my pal had just had a tattoo done, so they had a heap of it lying around. Really good result, I'm pleased with it. A lot of wound dressings come loose and fall off and let the nasties in. Not this stuff.

found a really good healthcare hack. I fell off my bike (massive speedbump in a mall car park) last week and got bad road rash. So after cleaning and etc my wounds, I've wrapped them with tattooing recovery 'second skin.' It is breathable and keeps the burns covered while also flexible and strong.

The galloping goose trail is really cool. I think it is worth the boat trip and I'd come do it again for sure You dont even need to own a bike, you can just rent one from Victoria BC like how I did.

hung out here by this lake for 2 hours. It was so great. I did an out and back loop so just pulled over when I wanted and so didnt have any time pressure. really nice. For a heap of time i just watched the sun sparkling on the water with some wind squalls. No artificial noise at all.

I try to assume the best of people, maybe they actually think they are being helpful by doing this 'change from the inside' type stuff, but boy does their behaviour get me steaming every time. is it too much, to at least just once, say that the big posh boy club is actually really bad. Maddening.

really funny moment earlier today when I walked onto a ferry with this openly clipped on to a drybag, and a ferry security person politely but firmly told me we are not on ontario and I could just walk around with this stuff on.

the mental and emotional toll of migration really is crazy. Its only when you actually dig yourself up and you move that you realise how much your habits and regular networks were helping your general mental condition, and you really have to start fighting to just do regular things. It is bananas.

I have done nothing today whatsoever. Ive yapped with one friend on the phone, made some bread, made some scones, walked round a block with another friend with the scones I've made, got my headset sorted and drunk two coffees. Its been tremendous.
