CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 25/08/2026That's another rotation over in this goofy job. Thankful to have my health and to still be here. Photos from stolen land. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 22/07/2026just another day of the website I use to buy 2nd hand outdoors gear actually promoting Nazis to me, unsolicited. Evil website run by an evil person. Mark Zuckerberg is actually a piece of garbage. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 18/07/2026I got evacuated in a helicopter after doing my job. Got to thunder bay ontario and smog made everything dark brown. I had plans to go somewhere else but my boss demanded 'where are you going' and nothing was mature enough to commit to. So I flew back to vancouver. wild scenes. Climate crisis. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 25/06/2026back to work. Flying to winnipeg to join my squad and drive a long way to the camp. So the morale moustache is back in full force. 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 25/06/2026I was giving a tour once at the east end of the mall, and there is still a cook statue there. While I was yapping about how vile this person was, a bunch of people posed under it with an Aboriginal flag. It was nice to see. 040
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 18/06/2026countries come and go bicycles and haunted food choices from the gas store are forever 120
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 17/06/2026Plus there are mail boxes on it often. Just stick your letters in the red to-go bit. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 17/06/2026The galloping goose trail is really cool. I think it is worth the boat trip and I'd come do it again for sure You dont even need to own a bike, you can just rent one from Victoria BC like how I did. 220
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 17/06/2026hung out here by this lake for 2 hours. It was so great. I did an out and back loop so just pulled over when I wanted and so didnt have any time pressure. really nice. For a heap of time i just watched the sun sparkling on the water with some wind squalls. No artificial noise at all. 130
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/06/2026really funny moment earlier today when I walked onto a ferry with this openly clipped on to a drybag, and a ferry security person politely but firmly told me we are not on ontario and I could just walk around with this stuff on. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/06/2026anyway here i am on vacation in some stolen land But I am having a great time 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/06/2026everyones reminder that mail is the most goated form of communication ever made and it is at a highly affordable cost. You get to send a whole ass handwritten thing all the away around the world, delivered by hand, for so little. Send some mail. 110
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 11/06/2026I have done nothing today whatsoever. Ive yapped with one friend on the phone, made some bread, made some scones, walked round a block with another friend with the scones I've made, got my headset sorted and drunk two coffees. Its been tremendous. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 09/06/2026end of my first working rotation as a dirty dirtbag gatherer. Spent it trying to focus on what is important; guarding my peace, human connection, and not getting lost in the sauce. It worked. Proud of it. Tomorrow with an able body is never guaranteed. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 22/05/2026got messaged by a friend that 'this look really suits me' and ya know what, hell yeah I am dripped out as heck. North london forever, coyg 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 18/05/2026flying over the kootenay river and noticed how there is a giant split in the clouds that basically follows it Don't think i've seen that before. Neat! 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 17/05/2026There's a lot wrong with living in this timeline but look at this wee printer doing its thing. Heartwarming. Reminds me of the game boy camera and printer. 010
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/05/2026I even got the seabus. It was a real treat to use public transportation that didnt have adverts all around it telling me I desperately need to buy a product to make me complete as a person. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/05/2026Met a cool friend on way back in towing mobiles which i lowkey am already thinking could be a cool off season job. The pay will probably be abysmal but you are being paid to be outside and on a bike and that is priceless. 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/05/2026Migrating again on Monday. One month in once place, now I am off to another. I am hugely grateful to the people and communities who've made me home since my trip out on April fools day. Emigration is terrifying. Bikes are a constant. 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/05/2026End photo of an orca. She was with her kid swimming across the bay. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/05/2026pic of the same bike outside a slab of the berlin wall which is lowkey pretty germaine. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 16/05/2026time is pretty crazy but I can go through the photos and see broadly speaking what was up. found this in Nov 2019 and like yeah I do miss some stuff like this bike and some routes around this town. but there is no getting around that there is a whole world outside london. 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 14/05/2026A security worker came by 5 minutes later while I was sat down journalling and read me out some stuff saying there was bike racke and a sign. I said 'ok thanks, now you've done your job.' He looked a bit bemused and walked away, we said good day to each other. here's some pictures of some geese. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 14/05/2026Came back from hanging out at a polo hangout in vancouver. Big up east van bike polo for having a great time and paying not a thing. Bike polo is so punk rock. You can make your own mallet, you can use the cheapest type of bike there is, you can make spoke guards out of milk jugs. It is the best. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 13/05/2026like look at this big old artwork holy shit en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rav... 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 13/05/2026Bluesky isn't algorithm free at all. It pushes 'suggested content' at you all the time. Robert Evans is right, no bank or vc firm is gonna get behind a product that you should only use for like 15 mins a day. They want you to spend every moment here. 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 13/05/20266 days until new job and I am really, really trying to enjoy unemployment. I just end up staring at my bike all the time. It's great! 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 12/05/2026Anyway heres my new headshot. I have decided to get a moustache before my weird new job in the middle of nowhere starts. No smiling was allowed. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 12/05/2026Went out, sent a letter, and got some headphones done at the post office. The worker there hadn't taken photos in ages or used a printer, just more bullshit they are expected to do without a pay rise, an entire career 'just figure it out'-ed. Upsetting and unfair. Being a worker should be bigged up. 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 12/05/2026someone once pointed out to me how the @redlettermedia.com 'half in the bag' sets are actually really well put together and engineering-wise the game is so on point and I often think about how this show by some film students on a shoestring is genuinely better than 'big name institutions' very often 1791
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 11/05/2026Actual photo of me watching keith starmer getting the heave ho from his own party, from the other side of the world on TV 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 11/05/2026Funemployed for a few days longer. Really trying to make the most out of it in spite of the siren song of my phone, and the saxophone getting louder by the day 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 11/05/2026Many wonderful things about living in a bug old house but with housemates is seeing the rooms getting repurposed. Here's a equipment room getting used to grow seedlings. Very cool 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 11/05/2026Just got my ass kicked in online chess against another tree planter and it never gets unfunny when you blunder your own pieces as the other person writes 'sorry', this game is funny as hell Anyway we have a tournament and the winner will get a DIY trophy at the season's end. God bless our organiser 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 10/05/2026It's never 'British army deploys to give homeless people food' or 'British army deployed to collect litter.' It is always some paid jolly with transferable skills they can use to kill people and take their stuff. Every platoon of trained and geared soldiers is at our dime, it should be a library. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 10/05/2026I dont know what these companies expected. They'd make money-printing factories so the wealthiest could use more internet services on land stolen through violent conquest, and they'd have nice stories written about them? That we'd see these factories in a climate crisis and go 'cool, neat!' ? 1160
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 10/05/2026managed to save someone a bunch of money with their stuck suntour bike fork with a fix I put on my website. so long as I literally help one person a year with it I am gonna keep going. It is a great hobby. 100
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 09/05/2026really fab bike ride with my pal this morning. I am riding an ''''old'''' rim brake endurance road bike with a triple and external cabling and it is so great. Boy are bikes a hoot. Didn't pay a cent except for the coffees and cakes when we finished, it was all for free. Amazing morning 110
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 09/05/2026one of my pals is one of the victorious councillors, too. Big up everyone who does work to make a better world. He painted his shoes to show what is important to him 🥲 010
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 09/05/2026This is my favourite cycling sticker because yeah it is nice to be out for a ride, but like, it is also nice to go home too. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 09/05/2026the most rewarding 'career moment ' I have ever had was giving a small child a book about my job, 'busy post van.' Apparently they read it every day. 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 08/05/2026New shoes and new insoles because I believe anything that separates you from the ground needs to be legit. The new balance insoles were 19g versus the aftermarket ones 60g but are for the same size shoe. These companies man, they will nickel and dime you like anything. Sorry for the bad photos 000
CalumOnWheels @calumonwheels.com · 08/05/2026how it feels to watch the uk election results from abroad as an immigrant. like I am invested and do care but like. I dont mind admitting it is good to just not be there. 110
