As seen on purpleport.com A model said my nudes lacked sexual frenzy and dubbed them "Calm nudes", and it stuck. I shoot other things too. Repost me with art (as I see it) & I'll be happy, reposting with porn will get a block.

If your feed has content which isn't a repost, but is a copy of someone else's work (sometimes saying where it is lifted from), take a minute to link from the source to the copy. Some creators object to such copies.

@mrspjhaverstock.bsky.social‬ - the OP cut off that thread... When people copy and re-upload - uncredited OR credited theft - likes and follows go to them, not the source. A few of their visitors might find the source (you) but a repost sends those visitors to your post giving you likes/follows.

calmnudes @calmnudes.bsky.social · 12/01/2025

Doesn't matter if the content is cartoons, or photos or text. Copying work (thereby depriving the owner of the traffic and whatever goes with it) is not rendered OK by naming the victim of the theft.

The super @thelifeofsharks.com posted about quitting #Meta platforms. (But disabled quotes - look it up yourself) If you think meta (or any) sites are part of what Cory Doctorow dubbed #Enshittification . 1. Leave yourself 2 Support people who business who quit. 3 Say you're doing it.

A Powerpoint slide with the following text
Enshittification means sites:
Attract users, then…
Attract advertisers at the expense of users, then…
Maximize profits at the expense of both users and advertisers
Meta, X, etc.
Replace what users joined for with ads / paid-to-boost posts.
Stop departing users taking their networks (e.g. can’t post from another app / site)
If you hate what a site provides, but can’t quit – it’s Enshittified

Sorry to be sweary, but. Fuck me with a pile driver and 16 feet of curare tipped wrought iron fence! Google "enshittification" - Meta are the prime case. But 2 years to remove @artemisfauna.bsky.social's heavily pixelated bottom is a fuckwitted implementation of an Anti-expression policy.

calmnudes @calmnudes.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

Nudes are my thing. But sometimes I'm working with a #model and we produce a #portrait shot that makes me feel like a decent portraitist. An example @shapeshifteririda.bsky.social in Croatia in September. #blackandwhite #bnwportrait #portraitphotography
