Bit more #wip on the Purple Sun of Shyish. Build on the sun itself is done, just need to do a bit more on the base and put modge podge over various bits before magnets and priming. #kitbash #ageofsigmar #warhammer #warhammercommunity #aos #aos28 #grimdark #blancheitsu

I've tweaked this old kitbash to run as an Assassin in my Iron Sultanate warband for Trench Crusade. Once upon a time this was a Valika the Bloody for Age of Sigmar, but unfortunately she was quickly squatted out of the game. #trenchcrusade #kitbash #warhammer #ageofsigmar #grimdark

If I could say anything I wish I'd known sooner, it's to just stop beating yourself up. It's ok to want to do other things for a while. Try to be kind to yourself and come back to your own creative pursuits at your own pace.

For me it was a little different, more a mental health crash and then starting medication. Unfortunately I don't have an easy answer, basically as I worked through the therapy resources I could get and I adjusted to the meds I was able to do more creative stuff beyond Warhammer and work

Saurus Heresy @callumjsmith.bsky.social · 01/12/2025

This is actually the whole reason I started painting Warhammer in the first place - I used to write scripts every day and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I do an arts job so I could do that, but nothing extra. I used Warhammer as an outlet to be creative again.

That's so cool, I can't wait to see those FEC! So the empress specifically, there's a show Alexander McQueen did themed around Jack the Ripper, and I used that as a jumping off point. The main colours are red and off white, with black and gold details. Some shots of my notes here, if it's helpful.

Saurus Heresy @callumjsmith.bsky.social · 07/11/2025

Haha Thanks man! Loving it here. For heraldry I actually just cut up stuff from an old issue of Dazed and use modge podge and paint to collage them into banners and fabrics, like in this pic, then just do colours of the rest of the mini to match.
