It’s all a lie, he is filthy despite my spending 45 minutes brushing him last night - but so long as you don’t actually touch him you’d never know!

This is devastating but hard to think of more important journalism. 18,457 children have been killed in Gaza (many more not accounted for). Here, The Guardian prints their names and beautiful faces and tells us what they were like before Israel stole their lives. www.theguardian.com/world/ng-int...

I once tracked down the story of a famous photo that gets shared on Invasion Day for a job and spoke to someone who ran a historical society in the area where the violence took place. I explained how colonist diaries I found described what they were doing as war; she said I was "being political".

OPINION: A video recording of a talk given to the Samuel Griffith Society in 2017 shows Wolahan lay out his opposition for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

That’s not how acknowledgments work. He’s on Gadigal country, which he would know. It may sound like I’m nitpicking but if you’re giving an acknowledgment to show respect for TOs - which is the only reason - you name the country.

Really don’t love that Albanese threw out the acknowledgment as a victory moment then but didn’t actually say whose land he was on. Are you saying it as a gotcha to the Coalition or a genuine show of respect? #auspol

To me one of the most telling signs is a very late Coalition campaign pivot away from courting independent/swinging voters back to consolidating right wing base (welcome to country). Feels they've shifted into save the furniture, win PHON preferences, save Dutton territory, not win govt mode.

My takeaways from 100+ voter conversations in Sydney and Central Coast in past months: * Cost of living no1 issue but nobody really blames Albo * Hardly anybody has heard of any of the solutions on offer * People think Dutton = Trump Coalition seem cooked. www.afr.com//politics/fe...

If Dutton’s path to victory cuts through Sydney, he has problems
In conversations with voters from Gordon to Liverpool, cost of living and housing featured again and again – but few blamed Labor and Albanese for the price rises.

The Coalition’s campaign has been plagued by mistakes and missteps. But the leader’s looseness has compounded any strategic flaws.
