For those evacuating with pets in LA: Hilton’s Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton, Tru and Canopy brands are all 100% pet friendly. Even cats! And a lot of hotels are waiving pet fees atm. Good on u Hilton! Pun intended: that’s hot.

I never buy bead supplies from Amazon but the way I just found the wholesaler that one of the bead supply shops I buy materials from has a whole spool of rhinestone chain for a literal fraction of the price the bead supply shop charges…

commenting on something happening in some corners of tiktok right now but this is a general observation: it is absolutely brain-breaking how so many people have lost the ability to disagree with someone without denouncing them as ontologically evil or pathological or whatever else

i don't think people understand how they come off, but generally speaking i wouldn't say "i don't like/i'm not a fan of [x] but" in your comments. if someone wrote something, they probably like it. coming into the comments and lowkey trashing it just never feels good.

PSA for cat owners in the US: cats have been contracting H5N1 (bird flu). They are very susceptible to it and the fatality rate for cats is 67%. To avoid it: -keep your cats indoors. They can catch it from infected birds and mice. -do not feed them raw dairy -do not feed them raw meat

I think part of the reason I struggle with making friends as a sober person is that everyone is constantly smoking and drinking and they don’t know how to have fun (or generally exist) without being intoxicated

Found a shop that sells good-quality impression (fake) stones, so hopefully I can use some to replicate some of my more popular designs and take off $30-40 of the original price where real stones are used 😁

My beadwork goal for 2025 is to value my worth and skill level while making more affordable pieces. Low-cost ($15-40) pieces won’t really factor in labor as I’m designing them to be super easy to assemble, but the pricing will reflect the value of higher-quality materials.

A reminder to check out @caliansluna.bsky.social for holiday gifts for special someone’s; the necklace i purchased from her recently goes so well with my favorite Sendero button down, I can’t believe it.

Masked bookseller in a rad Sendero shirt and gorgeous beaded necklace in the busy back room of a bookstore.

The he design on this necklace is so tight.

Justice for all the Palestinian healthcare workers who have been detained without charges, and have been brutally tortured, sexually and psychologically abused, and murdered by the Israeli forces. Justice for Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh.

A sign that reads “workers against war - our hands won’t make the tools of war” and “in loving memory of Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh. Bravery in blood. A hero. A martyr.”
