I think a lot of ppl underestimate how much their dollar actually helps artists, writers, journalists etc. And I think a lot of people overestimate how following translates to income. I don't have a 1$ tier so it is hard to convert, but about 1% of my following is actual subscribers.

it's insane to me how any notion of 'art' comics constantly has to apologize for itself. 'haha, i don't just like this stuff, i like mark gruenwald too' or 'yes, sure, john romita is a great storyteller, i just think ___ tells stories in a different way'. other side of comics makes ZERO apologies.

True story.

When I made this piece a month ago, I hated it. Now, I'm not sure why. The proportions are a bit off, but the color palette and the shading on the hair is solid.
