Now I understand why I got diagnosed with ADHD, I probably saw something like this book encouraging me to “crowd out severe cases.” If not for that, me + society could still have been happily suffering from my lifelong hopelessness at various capitalism-valued tasks without self-knowledge or support

This is quite cool. My university is the first organisation in the world to force Microsoft to allow us to turn off copilot summaries in Word 365, after a backlash against it from staff (including, very vocally, me). That cannot have been easy for our heroic IT people so hats very much off to them!

Or i guess it'd be "when WE came" if it's a meaningful ethnonational identity that i'm in. But then it would also have to be "when WE came to join US" as descendents of "Anglo-Saxons" are also descendants of "Celts" & others from Africa, Asia, & Europe who were here before "Anglo-Saxon" immigrants

AFAICT the oldest tradition of Anglo-Saxons as such (ie as a category for Angles, Saxons, Jutes, etc who came to England) is coming over in small boats, not being Christian or speaking the local language, & shaping the changing society as all people (migrant/not) have done in all societies always

Side projects from increasingly marginalised then acrimoniously departing members 1987-present, especially around 87-97, range from fantastic to fine. And yeah this is just Dinosaur Jr but I still think “a lot of bands’ story” pretty much stands

Gender complementarity's "separate but equal" has long been compared to the "separate but equal" of racial segregation, including noting that the "equal" is an abstract philosophical equality, while the "separate" means material inequality (that is its point). Cofnas links these logics explicitly.

Nathan Cofnas, in his most-cited blog overtly defending white supremacy, mentions "barriers set up between races in order for each one to express its own unique genius." This word "genius" is the same word Pope John Paul II used for essentialist women's inferior roles. www.vatican.va/content/john...
