Why is there an "Agent" button when there is a copilot text box above? What do I need to make a pong game or a calculator for? If they're meant for beginners, maybe they belong to some kind of on-boarding experience? I guess my main question would be who these button are for 😅

it's kinda weird that these buttons don't fit in one row in a 32'' display. The don't seem very useful for a day to day usage either. Why do I need copilot to create an issue? Why do I need copilot to list my pull requests, when there is dedicated page for them already?
screenshot of the github copilot chat in the new github dashboard. The buttons below the chat box take two rows, one extra for just one button.

I've been screening candidates for a couple of open positions we have at Tensorlake and I'm amaze at the number of fake resumes we receive. I've jumped in several screen calls where candidates just drop off the call when I asked them for proof of identification 🤷‍♂️

I wrote a blog post about sandboxes, schedulers, and how we're scaling our infrastructure at @tensorlake.ai. Go check it out! www.tensorlake.ai/blog/startin...

Starting hundreds of sandboxes in parallel, and the design that makes it possible.
A 1,000-sandbox evaluation harness doesn't care about your reconciliation loop. We replaced ours with a durable command outbox — and sandboxes stopped waiting in line.

the reason we have this platform at all, or smartphones or modern CPUs or half the things you rely on online is because of trans people and we need to work harder at protecting and uplifting them and not supporting transphobe platforms, people and politicians

I completely forgot that we hired @rafa.design at Netlify after he slid into my twitter dms almost a decade ago now. ”Maybe I can help” is probably the understatement of the decade.
A screenshot from a twitter dm email notification from @rafa.design to me on May 2, 2016. The message says “Just checking in, love the product, maybe I can help”

having no idea what Cloudflare wants to do with this, I‘d say the main difference here is that their matrix or mastodon research projects didn’t give the company a path to take significant amounts of revenue away from a competitor, while this does.

I own several of their cameras and a lock and their integration with homekit is really nice, I have not had any issues in years. I've been looking at the doorbell for a while, but nobody really comes to our house and rings the current one, so it's kinda pointless to even have one XD

I built something like this at Netlify. When our systems received a specific request header, all services involved in serving that request would enable debug logs for that specific request. Our support team used it all the time to inspect customer traffic. It was a game changer to diagnose problems.

This is good read about the state of open source and AI. Unfortunately, I'm skeptic about GitHub doing something to make things better. So far, their latest changes in PRs, splitting large PRs in one page per file(WTF), make reviewing code generated by AI worse, no better 🤷‍♂️

When I maintained the Rust runtime for AWS Lambda, trying to cross-compile OpenSSL because it's the default tls backend in reqwest was the top issue for people starting with the runtime. I'm very happy that I was able to provide a little bit of help to remove that category of problems all together.
