Anyone got advice for filming alters? Looking at doing a tiktok project where I paint and talk about a mechanic/card's history but I don't know the kind of stuff I need to film. I have a good phone camera, so might just be able to get away with just a good ring light, but looking for tips!!

TCG players are probably the fastest to make friends, you'll see a guy maybe 3 hours a week and within 2 weeks you're offering to fly to France to go to a tournament with them

Fun fact: there are only 6 cards that have the "cartoon cum" cheese and 3 of them are reprints made to look silly. This is less cards than had bare feet in Lorwyn

I always feel like appreciation for graffiti is low, so I'd love to do one for someone I know does appreciate the style! Doing one for one of the guys over at Play to Win would be super cool as a cEDH player myself, though! I should probably work out prices first though haha

Another thing is reversing letters - G is a VERY difficult letter to invert because it looks very similar to a J when stylized. What you could do instead is hide something else in the font! You're not making something for repetition, like a normal font, so you can do some fun things!

Calamity Juno @calamityjuno.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

One of the most important things that people don't realise about fonts is keeping a stable line weight for a lot of the letter. Using heavily tapering designs makes this very difficult to do, but if you have a point in your mind that it stops being the "normal" weight and starts tapering, it works!

can I be cheeky and throw some pointers for graff/fontwriting? :)

Are you going to mention how Lorwyn heavily cribs from Gaelic mythology, or the remnants we have that remain after the English shredded it, and now the Kithkin speak in (modern) Scots Gaelic, a language only accepted as an official language by the English around a month ago?

The Fugitive Doctor
{3}{R}{G}
Legendary Creature — Time Lord Doctor

When The Fugitive Doctor enters, investigate.

Whenever The Fugitive Doctor attacks, you may sacrifice a Clue. When you do, target instant or sorcery card in your graveyard gains flashback {2}{R}{G} until end of turn. (You may cast that card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then exile it.)
